Get Ready Queensland Week (October 8-13 2024) saw 23 council-led events successfully delivered statewide, including educational workshops, community engagement activities, and emergency planning sessions. 

The success of the Get Ready Queensland week highlights the incredible role councils and stakeholders are playing in driving a culture of preparedness and resilience in the face of severe weather challenges and we sincerely thank everyone for their involvement.

The week also demonstrated how the $2 million Get Ready Queensland funding program continues to support councils in implementing localized disaster-preparedness initiatives.
